That Fresh Feeling..

Today I want to show you all the skincare products I like to use and some new products I've picked up.
I have been using the Garnier Fresh Essentials toner and cleansing milk for quite awhile now. It makes my skin healthy and a clear appearance. I like a fresh smell when I'm applying any type of skin care products instead of a 'smelly' fragrance.I used to have very bad skin because I do wear a lot of makeup so I wanted to look after my skin a bit more. Afterall, it's how you get that flawless look. Often creams and toners can dry my face out even more but these don't! I buy them time after time and still impressed with good results. The Johnson&Johnson holiday skin I have used before and with these products that claim they'll give you a gorgeous natural looking tan, I don't really fall for it. But this product actually works! After 3 or 4 days of applying onto my skin I was left with a light natural tan. Since I'm going away I want to get some sort of prep before I  go because I really don't want to be like a ghost going over, my boyfriend gets a dark tan after just one day of sitting in the sun and I don't really want to be put to shame! So I've decicded to buy this again and use it up until I go on holidays, considering doing a cheeky sunbed too. I know they have their pros and cons but one or two before I go won't hurt.. well hopefully! For body moisturiser I have been using Nivea soft, this moisturier is simply amazing. It has a thick texture that drys quickly once applied to the skin and leaves you with a nice fresh fragranc and ultra soft skin. Lastly, I have hear of Lacura face moisturier from a friend and my sister. This is from Aldi, now I'm sure when you hear Aldi your probably thinking I'd never buy any creams out of there. Well I first thought that until I was introduced with this, my friend was using it and I could not believe how soft her skin was. It was like baby skin, imagine having that baby skin feeling on your face? Imagine how well would your makeup turn out. I had to go get this product, I was on the look out for a good face moisturiser anyway since I just used the Nivea for the time being. I used it straight away, it has a thick texture but when it's applied it becomes more creamy which makes it more easy to spread. So far I am impressed with it, I'll do a proper review of this product after a few uses.
If your looking for those fresh type of feeling skincare products well these are definitely ones I recommend!
Have you tried any of these? what are your thoughts?
If anyone has tried sunbeds before I'd love to hear your thoughts, as it will be my first time.

Review | Rimmel Exaggerate

Reading through my makeup posts I noticed people asking what eyeliner I use so I thought I'd just dedicate a whole post to this amazing liquid eyeliner! As you can tell by the photo's I have gotten great use out of this eyeliner, it's the best liquid eyeliner I've used. Usually I like to change my eyeliners around but when I do nothing compares to this. You may think you wouldn't get as many uses by looking at the bottle but you'll be surprised how long this actually lasts. The brush is a perfect size because you can achieve thin or thick layers of eyeliner so easily, I don't like using thin brushes because I find myself constantly applying the eyeliner on and I hate the feeling of too much on. The best thing about this eyeliner is that it lasts all day and night without any fixing. I've come across eyeliners we're they've smudged off and a liquid eyeliner isn't something you'd like to fix especially if your on a night out! I think it costs roughly €6 not too sure, but I know it's cheap enough. I really recommend you try this out!
I'm wearing this eyeliner in a lot of my posts so here are a few links to check out how I wear it!

Tag | Confessions of a Blogger

I have been hooked on reading these posts lately so I finally decided to do one myself. I love reading about how other bloggers started their blogs and why. I really think these type of posts add a personal touch to someones blog and the past week I have been trying to figure out what I could do with my blog to give it that 'personal touch' and tell my readers a bit more about me. In a way it is a break from reviews etc and it's nice to read a little bit about the blogger. So here are my confessions!

When did you start your blog?
I started my blog in January 2012, I had a few posts up & accidently deleted them while on my phone, but around then I didn't know what I wanted out of my blog and I wasn't sure if I was going to stick by it. After thinking about it for a month I decided to give it a go and logged on and did new post on Feb 10th 2012.

Have you had any past online presence before (Other blog,YouTube) ?
No, I was first introduced to makeup tutorials etc, from my sister and she then showed me the world of blogging!

Why did you start a blog?
Like most bloggers I was inspried by so many amazing blogs so I got a sudden urge to start my own. I'm quite a shy person so this was definitely a confident boost for me! As you may notice from my blog I wouldn't be the one for advertising my blog on facebook and twitter, which I would love to do to but I feel I haven't that much confidence yet. Maybe some day! Although, it took me awhile to get into blogging and making time for my blog, I love writing and sharing my thoughts about the things I love

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I think lately, I've become more serious about my blog. I find myself saying 'I'll blog about that' about everything I buy now. As I mentioned before, I wasn't sure what I wanted out of this blog and now because of my crazy lifestyle between college, work & social life, I realised I hadn't got a particular hobbie so I turned to my blog.

What was your first post?
Before I deleted my posts I think I wrote a post mentioning I was new and I was going to do great things with my blog! Then after that little ordeal I wrote a February favorites post on makeup products.. It wasn't the worse but the photo's are such bad quality & the description wasn't as detailed as they would be now. I love reading back on my old posts to see how my writing and photography skills have improved, bit of a confidence boost too.

What has been your biggest challenge about blogging?
I think trying to update my blog constantly and trying to give my blog a personal touch so it can stand out a bit more, I mean everyone wants their blog to stand out in it's own way. I would love to have tonnes more to write about and when the funds are low it is quite difficult to do so. I have often got an urge to blog but having nothing to blog about, so I just leave it. Then I feel as if I will loose the interest in my followers but at the moment I am trying to prevent that from happening!

What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
Definitely my followers leaving lovely comments and meeting new bloggers that share the same interests. Everytime someone comments on a post or I gain a new follower I'm over the moon, even if it is just one I wreck my families head by saying yay I have a new follower. It is not that I'm looking just for followers or numbers, it's the fact that my lovely followers/readers enjoy what I am posting about.

What's your lasting inspiration or motivation?
Reading other blogs, I could go all day reading through my favorite blogs and finding new blogs. Before I started blogging I loved to read, and, I found their blogs so inspriring and interesting to read it gave me the motivation to start my own. Now that I know what I want out of my blog I find it more enjoyable and fun to write!

So there you have it, my confessions! I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
Hope you all have a great weekend Xx

February Favorites!

I have finally come around to doing a 'Favorites' post! I absolutely love reading these posts to find new products I haven't seen or used before. I personally think February dragged by for me, it was me and my boyfriends two year anniversary and for some reason it feels like that was ages ago when it's been only a month?! I hadn't bought too much makeup or beauty products during the month of February but I have had a few products lying in my makeup boxes that I hadn't got a good use out of. So for the whole of February I thought I would pick out some products that I wanted to give a try.. When it comes to makeup I get into a comfort zone and I am afraid of trying anything different. I know I'm weird! But I think from now I'm  going to experiment and pick up something new every week. I am having a miserable week as I haven't been well, fortunately today I'm feeling better and tomorrow is pay day so I'm hoping I'm as fresh as a daisy tomorrow morning, fingers crossed! So more about the products...

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation - Ever since I've bought my first MAC foundation it's been hard for me to get a cheaper version that will give me the full coverage that I want. Daytime makeup, I never wear any concealers or primers as I never have the time in the mornings to do my makeup. After the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundatin craze took over the blogging world for awhile I had to go try it. I have already done a review on this so click here to check it out! I was running out for my MAC foundation so I wanted to pick something up cheap and pretty decent for the time being. I decided to try out the Fit Me foundation as I heard my sister mentioning it before.. It took me awhile to decide on what colour to choose that would be similar to my MAC. I have to say I much prefer this foundation than the Rimmel one. It gives an amazing coverage that lasts all day. The liquid hasn't got a watery texture to it, it's thick but not too thick. It blends so well & now I think I'll be leaving my MAC foundation aside for the weekends only!

L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes- I have had this mascara before.. I've loved it then and I still love it. Sometimes going back to mascara I find I don't get the same results as if the formula has been changed but this mascara never seems to fail. The brush is a perfect medium size, I hate anything that is too small because I find myself constantly layering the mascara on and with a big brush I find myself putting on less as I'm afraid the mascara will ruin my eyeshadow! But fortunately found the perfect one for me, it is in the blackest colour. It gives great volume and a great length but of course to achieve length you need an eyelash curler, so don't expect to have extravagant lashes after applying it!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish 'Gold Deposit' - Another product I have awhile now but it is a must have in everyone's makeup bag! Well I'm pretty sure nearly every blogger has this product but I'm going to rant on about it! This month nearly every makeup look I wore I used this highlighter. In the packaging it gives a very orange look and you'd think it be very heavy. Surprisingly it is light when applied and it gives a gorgeous shine/shimmer and really finishes off a makeup look. You could easily pull of wearing this as an eyeshadow too.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush - I have seen reviews on the Real Technique brushes all over blogs but that's only for one simple reason.. they are amazing! I got two sets of the Real Techniques a few months back but I never bother to write a post as there was so many of them all over the internet so I think I'll throw them in a post here and there.. I love a decent foundation brush and this is the best I've used so far. The bristles are so thick and soft the foundation is applied so smoothly. I love how they wash easily with no fuss and dry quickly restoring to it's natural softness!

What I've Been Buying..

Bag- H&M €9.95
Pink Necklace New Look- €7.99
Black Necklace New Look- €11.99
Sunglasses River Island- €13.00

Lately, I have been on a big spending urge! Of course when pay day comes you must spoil yourself.. but sometimes I get a bit carried away. I have to say the past few weeks I have picked up tonnes of new stuff from hair extensions, accessories and new clothes! So today, I want to show you some accessories I picked up recently. Myself and my boyfriend are heading off to the sun for two weeks the end of July and already I have been collecting! I'm sure by the time summer is here my suitcase will probably packed, that's how excited I am! I will admit that nearly everything.. well everything in this photo are all impulse buys that I am very happy I purchased.. I will get so many uses out of them and they weren't that expensive either so it's keeping me and my bank account very happy.

I love anything with patterns from clothes to bags.. and when I stumbled across this gorgeous leopard print bag in work I just had to buy it. Although, when I first saw it I told myself no I don't need it but when I realized it was only €9.95 I could not resist! This will be perfect for when I go on my holidays as the material is like beach bag style but it works so well. It's a perfect size that will fit my makeup and camera in so I can't complain.

The sunglasses.. they don't look that great in the photo but when they're on they have the winged kind of look. Very vintage and different. I wasn't planning on getting a pair of black sunglasses for my holidays but once I try them on and I like them.. I have to have them!

I am obsessed with necklaces, I think they really make an outfit come together and I love contrasting colours with outfits and necklaces. Luckily for me when I was paying for the necklace I was told it was buy one get one free that day so quickly browsing through the accessories in the shop I came across the black necklace. I love wearing long necklaces with simple and plain outfits as it adds a nice casual touch!
